Funkin releases Nitro Piña Colada RTD

Cocktail purée and mixer company Funkin launched its RTD canned cocktails range乐橙彩票app下载 in April last year, each said to replicate freshly shaken mixed drinks.

the new nitro piña colada rtd joins espresso martini, passion fruit martini, amaretto sour and pink gin fizz in the nitro canned cocktails range.

each can is said to provide a “perfect serve with a creamy foam head and a smooth, velvety mouthfeel”.

the launch of the piña colada flavour is said to capitalise on the “growing popularity of rum and rum cocktails”.

乐橙彩票app下载according to nielsen figures cited by funkin, the rtd cocktail can market is worth £303 million (us$390m) and grew 33% in the year to december 2018, faster than beer, wine and cider.

additional data from cga q3 2019 showed that rum was used in 42% of cocktails served in the on-trade.

funkin nitro piña colada is available in a pack of 12x200ml cans and comes with a 12-month shelf life. each 5% abv can is priced at rrp £2.29 (us$2.95).

Last July, Funkin Cocktails launched a £1m (US$1.25m) campaign to support its Nitro Canned Cocktails range – the firm’s biggest marketing investment to date.
